Sizing Guidelines
Our Wild Child dyed clothes generally run large, plus they are pre-shrunk so you don’t have to order too big. One size up at the most if your child is bigger. We will try to let you know in the descriptions if anything is running small or exceptionally large. The good thing about getting things that run a little large is that children only grow. If you don’t like a lot of growth room, then order our clothes the same size as your child’s age and you will probably still get some growth room.
Clothing Care
We hope you enjoy your Wild Child clothes. All of our garments are dyed with non toxic, low impact, color fast dyes, and with loving care. The professional quality dyes produce brilliant colors that are permanent and non fade. They are pre-shrunk in the dying process and retain most of their beautiful color even after many washings. Launder like all other bright clothing, no extra special care needed.
Basic Guidelines:
- Machine wash and dry, warm or cold water. Remove from dryer promptly and fold or hang to minimize wrinkles-no need to iron!
- Please use normal color sorting procedure, wash dark colors separately from light and white. (Reds are the most likely to bleed. We usually wash reds, pinks and purples together without problems.)
- No bleach!
- Soaking not generally recommended unless done separately (items may bleed in small amounts of soaking water).
- We don’t make any guarantees for “color safe” bleach, pre-treatments or sprays. We don't make any guarantees for any detergents and their claims. They may or may not alter the color.

Policies
Return Policy
Our un-used in stock dyed clothing, accessories and toys are returnable for exchange, web credit or refund for full product amount (excludes ship charge). Items must include original packaging (for toys and accessories) and tags if applicable. If you would like a refund, items must be returned within 30 days (of reciept date) and with the original receipt. A gift receipt does not constitute an original receipt.
If you return an item/items for a refund and it brings your initial order under the $75 threshold for free shipping then the standard ship amount will be deducted from your refund.
If we made an error on your order or you have recieved an item with a manufacturers defect we are happy to re-ship the item for free when we recieve your return. Otherwise, the standard ship fee applies.
Items purchased with a Gift Certificate may be returned within 30 days for store/web credit only.
Gift certificates may be redeemed for store/web credit only, no cash refunds.
Any items returned within 30 days without a receipt will receive a credit for the current selling price for that item.
After 30 days and up to 45 days, we are happy to issue a store/web credit. We cannot accept any returns after 45 days.
Wild Child cannot be responsible for lost returns.
Any custom/special order items are final sale. We are happy to custom dye for you but we cannot accept exchanges on these items (don’t let this deter you, we have done lots of special orders over the years with many satisfied customers!)
To initiate a return you must do so online. Follow these steps to initiate the return online:
- Login to your account.
- Click on Orders in the Account Menu to access the list of all your orders.
- Find the order with items you would like to return and click on the Order ID to view it.
- At the top of the edit order screen you will see the link "Registration of return" - click that.
- On the next screen select the items you would like to return and give a reason for each item.
- Select what you would like to do (Replace Item or Refund), enter any comments and click Return.

Privacy Policy & Security Matters
Wild Child respects the privacy of it's customers so we have incorporated SSL technology in the checkout and account sections of the site. To verify that the page you're on is secure you should notice the website address has the 's' in 'https'. Some web browsers will also color the address bar or display a padlock icon. You can also verify the site is secure by hovering over or clicking on the red badge in the lower right corner when on the checkout or account areas of the site.
Incorporating SSL technology allows us to take advantage of data encryption during all data transfer, thus greatly reducing the risk your information will be viewed by a third party.
We will also accept phone orders if you do not feel comfortable entering credit card information over the web. Just select the phone order option during checkout. If you have any concerns or questions please contact us through the site or by phone @ 608-251-6445.
Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover (sorry no AMEX) credit cards. We will also accept personal checks and money orders. Please allow time for us to process this payment before shipment. Any bounced checks will result in a $25 fee. If you do not feel comfortable entering your credit card online (the Wild Child website is very secure) you can select to call us with your payment details.
Order Processing
We try to keep everything in stock and most items will be processed in 1-3 business days and shipped according to the shipping option you choose. Since some of our clothes may have to be custom dyed to your order, some items may take up to 2 weeks. Any back ordered items are shipped free of charge. If your back order total is under $50 you will be charged for those items when the order is placed. If your backorder is over $50 we will charge for that when the backorder is shipped.
We will try to communicate with you if there are any delays, so make sure to give us a phone number. You can also check the status of your order or view details in your account page, check it out if you haven't already. There is a lot of cool stuff you can do there! If you would like to speak with someone about your order please contact us online or call us at 608-251-6445 during normal business hours and please reference your invoice/order number.
