Gift registries allow you to assemble a collection of products that you would like for an event such as a baby shower or birthday. Wild Child let's you easily add and manage an event where you can add specific products you desire and invite people to view and participate in your event. The first step to setting up a Gift Registry is to create an account. Once you have an account, you can then Add an Event. The Gift Registries sidebar block will also appear throughout our website giving you access to view Today's Events, Search Events, Add Events, and gain access to private events.

Add a New Event

1. Click Add new in the Gift Registry menu on the right hand side of our website. You must have an account to create a new event.
   
2. Fill in the required fields for the event - Title, Your name, Email, Start/End Date, Type (Public is viewable by all, Private is viewable only by your invitees), and Guestbook functionality (allows you and your event participants to communicate right on our website).
3. Add Invitees - just enter the names and emails of those you'd like to invite to your event using the icons on the right to add additional, clone and remove invitees.
4. Click Add New to create your new event.
5. Note: your invitees will not receive an email yet. You must continue to manage your event where you can add products and then notify your invitees.

Managing Your Event

1. Once you've added your new event you can now add products, notify invitees, edit event details and communicate with invitees.
2. There are 4 tabs available:

• General - this is where you can edit of main details about your event. You can also add or remove invitees.
• Products - this is where you can add desired products for your event. To add new products:

  1. Click on Add Products at the bottom
  2. Find products in the popup (NOTE: the search function at the top can be particularly helpful to search through our products quickly)
  3. Place a checkmark next to each product you want, then select size, color or other options and enter the quantity desired.
  4. Then click Add Products at the bottom. Please note that you cannot select product options until you place a checkmark for that product.

• Notifications - this is where you can notify all invitees to your event. A email will be sent to each invitee with a link to access the event (invitees do not need an account). You can also choose to notify specific invitees if you add any after you've sent the initial invitation. Checkmark all invitees you want to notify and click Send Notification to Selected.
• Guestbook (if enabled) - this is where you can communicate with your invitees. Simply enter your name and message and click Submit for it to show in the list of messages. As creator of an event, you will be notified each time a message is posted.

3. To get back to your event at any time, just log into your account and view the Events Search page. Find your event and click on it to begin editing.

Searching and Viewing Events

1. All events can either be found through the Search function or in the Gift Registries sidebar block, whether public or private.
   
2. If the event is private you will have to have an access key to gain access. This would have been emailed to you by the event coordinator.
3. If you forgot your access key you can try entering your email to have it emailed to you. This email must be the same one registered by the event originator.
4. Once you've gained access to an event you'll see it's information at the top, the desired products and finally the Guestbook form at the bottom where you can submit a message that will appear for everyone else attending the event.
5. Notice that for each product the desired color and size options are displayed as well as the desired quantity and bought quantity. To buy one of the items in the list simply select the quantity to buy (cannot be more than the quantity desired) and click Add to Cart at the bottom. You will then need to proceed to checkout like normal.
6. Once an item has been bought by someone, the quantiy box will be disabled and you will not be able to add that item to your cart anymore.
